Freling shares his vision to light up the world

Robert Freling, executive director of the Solar Electric Light Fund (SELF), will discuss his work at 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, in Graham Chapel. This Assembly Series program is being co-sponsored by Engineers Without Borders student organization, the Skandalaris Center for Entrepreneurship, and the African Public Interest Law and Conflict Initiative.

Off-campus housing safety a priority for the university

Washington University is making several improvements to ensure the safety of faculty, staff and students living in and visiting off-campus housing. These improvements range from physical changes — such as the addition of peepholes to doors — to informational measures — such as a safety video to familiarize those living off-campus with best safety practices.
